Kozhikode, 21 December 2025: Delvintor Alfarizi of Indonesia won the 250cc India-Asia class for Gujarat Trailblazers even as Indians gained big with some of the top-five riders in the country taking part and getting commendable exposure mixing with elite foreign riders.

Indian riders also made a deeper impact in the 250cc India–Asia category, led by Rugved Barguje, one of India’s most accomplished Supercross specialists and a multiple national champion, who continued to hold his own against a strong Asian field. Barguje’s experience and race craft were evident across rounds as he consistently finished inside the points for Tricolor Motorsports, reinforcing his status as a benchmark for Indian Supercross riders. He also won the fmsci Supercross National title.

Alongside him, youngster Ikshan Shanbhag and Prajwal Vishwanath, both emerging talents with strong racing pedigrees, underlined the next generation of Indian Supercross. Sons of former champion riders, the duo combined technical awareness with growing confidence on international-spec tracks, gaining valuable race mileage against seasoned overseas competitors. Their steady progression through the season reflected the increasing depth of India’s domestic talent pool and the importance of sustained exposure at league level.

Australian rider Matt Moss once again underlined his stature as the Indian Supercross Racing League’s most influential rider, guiding BigRock Motorsports to a second consecutive Team Championship title in Season 2 with a commanding campaign across venues in Pune, Hyderabad and Calicut. Moss topped the 450cc International standings with 91 points, combining race wins with relentless consistency aboard the Kawasaki KX450, and anchoring BigRock’s title defence in emphatic fashion.

The Team Championship battle was decided by the narrowest of margins, with BigRock Motorsports finishing on 371 points, just edging out Indewheelers Motorsports on 365, while Gujarat Trailblazers completed the podium on 352 points. BigRock’s strength lay in depth rather than dominance in a single class, with podium contributions across the 250cc India–Asia, 250cc International and 450cc International categories proving decisive over the three rounds.

In the 450cc International category, Moss’s campaign stood out for its balance of aggression and control. He was challenged most closely by France’s Anthony Bourdon of BB Racing, who finished second overall on 72 points, while Adrien Escoffier of Gujarat Trailblazers secured third with 62 points. BigRock’s John Short added valuable points with fourth overall, reinforcing the team’s championship push. The class showcased high attrition and shifting fortunes, but Moss’s ability to score heavily in every round set him apart.

The 250cc International category was dominated by France’s Calvin Fonvieille, who produced one of the most authoritative performances of the season. Riding for Indewheelers Motorsports on a Yamaha YZ250, Fonvieille amassed 94 points, winning races with clinical precision and leaving little room for error among rivals. His teammate Mickael Lamarque finished second on 66 points, underlining Indewheelers’ strength in the class, while Julien Lebeau of Gujarat Trailblazers completed the top three. Slade Varola emerged as BigRock’s leading rider in the category, finishing fourth overall and contributing crucial points to the team tally.

The 250cc India–Asia category proved to be one of the most competitive classes of the season. Indonesia’s Delvintor Alfarizi, riding for Gujarat Trailblazers, clinched the title with 77 points after a campaign marked by speed and composure under pressure. Thailand’s Witsarut Salangam of Indewheelers Motorsports followed closely with 69 points, while BigRock’s Thanarat Penjan finished third on 66 points, keeping the championship battle alive until the final round. Nakami Vidi Makarim added further depth for BigRock with a strong fifth-place finish overall despite mixed fortunes across rounds.

Indian riders also made their presence felt in the India–Asia class, with Rugved Barguje, Prajwal Vishwanath and Ikshan Shanbhag consistently finishing inside the points, gaining valuable experience against seasoned international competitors and contributing to their teams’ overall standings.

The final round in Calicut added a further layer of excitement with standalone points on offer in the India–Asia Mix and International categories, where multiple riders finished tied on aggregate scores, reflecting the intensity and unpredictability of Supercross racing. Across classes, manufacturers including Kawasaki, Yamaha, KTM and Honda were represented at the front, underlining the technical diversity of the grid.

At season’s end, BigRock Motorsports’ ability to combine a proven championship leader in Matt Moss with steady point-scoring across categories proved decisive. The narrow margin at the top of the team standings reflected a league that has rapidly matured into a genuinely competitive championship, where consistency across riders and classes now matters as much as outright race wins.

Season 2 ultimately reaffirmed ISRL’s growing stature, with international riders raising the competitive bar while Indian racers gained sustained exposure at the highest level of Supercross racing in the country.
