Calicut, 21 December 2025: Australian ace Matt Moss once again proved to be the cornerstone of BigRock Motorsports’ Supercross success, as the Bengaluru-based team retained the Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) Season 2 championship title at a spectacular grand finale at the EMS Corporation Stadium on Sunday. Moss, who played a decisive role in BigRock’s inaugural title triumph in 2023, delivered another commanding performance in front of a record crowd of over 32,000 spectators in Calicut.

Next only to Drag Racing, the Supercross events like ISRL and Nationals draw higher crowds than the over dozen Nationals that are annually conducted by the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (fmsci), the official governing body of motorsport under the aegis of FIA and FIM.

Anchoring BigRock Motorsports’ title defence with pace, consistency and experience, Moss claimed victory in the 450cc International category aboard a Kawasaki KX 450, underlining his status as one of the league’s most influential riders. Mentored by CS Santosh, the Bengaluru outfit showcased depth across classes to cap a fiercely contested championship held across Pune, Hyderabad and Calicut.

French rider Calvin Fonvieille, representing Team Apollo Indewheelers, was in a class of his own in the 250cc International category, dominating the field on a Yamaha YZ 250. Thailand’s Delvinator Alfarizi thrilled the crowd by clinching the 250cc India–Asia Mix class on a KTM 250 SX-F, drawing thunderous applause from the packed stands.

The presence of ISRL Brand Ambassador Salman Khan added to the electric atmosphere, as knowledgeable motorsport fans in Kerala witnessed an event of this scale after a long gap. Amid roaring crowds and intense on-track battles, BigRock Motorsports were officially crowned ISRL Season 2 champions, capping a fiercely contested championship held across Pune, Hyderabad and Calicut.

Season 2 featured a strong international presence, with 36 riders from 21 countries—including Australia, France, the USA, Germany, Thailand and South Africa—competing alongside India’s leading talents such as Rugved Barguje, Ikshan Shanbhag, Prajwal Vishwanath and Shlok Ghorpade.

Beyond the racing action, the Reise Moto ISRL Fan Park transformed the EMS Corporation Stadium into a motorsport festival, offering live music, racing simulators, interactive brand zones, official merchandise and rider engagement activities.

ISRL sponsors include Bisleri, Lilleria Group, Kawasaki India, Reise Moto, Eurosport India, TVS Apache, Ducati, KTM India, FundFloat, IIC Lakshya, Hero Vida, Ritz Lane and GUTS.

Speaking after the finale, Salman Khan said, “Watching the grand finale in Calicut was truly special. The passion of the fans and the intensity of competition show how far Indian motorsport has come. ISRL is creating a platform where Indian riders can compete confidently alongside the world’s best.”

Veer Patel, Managing Director, ISRL, added, “Season 2 reflects the growing belief in Supercross across India. From Pune to Hyderabad and now Calicut, the record-breaking fan response shows the sport has truly found a home here, while we continue building strong pathways for Indian riders alongside world-class racing.”
